Jack Parsons has spent a quarter of a century investigating
the light, landscapes and cultures of the American Southwest.
In September 2006, his home state honored him with the New Mexico Governor's Award for Excellence and Achievement in the Arts.
However, Parsons is equally well-known for his portraits of Europe, Mexico
Latin America and the Far East. Although an experienced cinematographer and director,
he is most famous for his elegant book photography, executed for
Rizzoli, Clarkson Potter, Bullfinch and the Museum of New Mexico Press.
Jack Parsons'
Atelier reflects a special passion: the richness possible
with digital giclée prints. Because this inkjet process can
be carried out on a range of papers, it allows the power of
an image to be enhanced with texture. His Atelier consists
of separately curated series, each assembled from Parsons'
catalogue of sixty thousand photographs. Choices can be printed
individually or as a group; each is signed, dated and identified.
